Participants will gain the necessaryexpertise to effectively diagnose and manage asthma, apply the BTS/SIGN guidelines,evaluate treatment options and inhaler devices, identify patients at risk of acuteasthma and develop care plans. Objectives By the end of this course, participants will be able to: 1. Understand and apply the latest recommendations and guidelines for asthma diagnosis in primary care. 2. Interpret and implement the BTS/SIGN guidelines and standards in the management of asthma. 3. Demonstrate proficiency in advising patients on inhaler devices and selecting appropriate treatment options. 4. Evaluate the advantages and differences between new inhaler devices to facilitate informed decision-making. 5. Identify patients at risk of developing acute asthma and provide timely intervention. 6. Develop effective treatment strategies and care plans to prevent exacerbations of asthma.
