Details | The Objective was: To review maternal deaths and near-miss cases occurring at Health Centre IVs, IIIs, and below, with expert guidance provided online. These sessions aimed to offer insights into case management and discuss evidence-based strategies to prevent similar occurrences in the future. Format: Virtual expert-led sessions Key Focus Areas: Case-based review of maternal deaths and near misses Expert recommendations on management to improve maternal outcomes Strategies for strengthening emergency obstetric and newborn care at lower-level facilities Enhancing clinical decision-making among healthcare providers Session Dates: CME sessions were conducted on Mondays. Target Audience: Healthcare providers at Health Centre IVs, IIIs, and below, including medical officers, clinical officers, midwives, and nurses. Expert Panel: A multidisciplinary team of obstetricians, neonatologists, anesthetists, and emergency medicine specialists provided expert input on case discussions. Expected Outcome: Improved capacity of healthcare providers to manage obstetric emergencies effectively, leading to a reduction in preventable maternal deaths and near-miss events. |
