Details | The Pharmacy in Primary Care programme is aimed at hospital-based pre-registration pharmacists to aid their learning of the Community Pharmacy contract and provision of unscheduled care in the community. The programme will also introduce trainees to the role of the General Practice (GP) Pharmacist.
• Describe the general set-up of a community pharmacy

• Provide a high-level outline of the Community Pharmacy Contractual Framework
• List the essential services set out in the Community Pharmacy Contractual Framework

• Describe how community pharmacists respond to symptoms over the counter and identify presenting red flags to enable a safe and effective clinical transfer of a patient

• Explain how to give advice, support and evidence-based over-the-counter treatment to patients with minor ailments
• Describe the role of the clinical pharmacist in general practice
• Describe common tasks done by the clinical pharmacist in general practice
