CPD about Viral Haemorrhagic fevers
| Name | HAMURWA HC IV |
| Activity Title | CPD about Viral Haemorrhagic fevers |
| Details | Viral Haemorrhagic Fevers (VHFs) such as Ebola, Marburg, Crimean-Congo, and Rift Valley Fever pose serious public health threats in Uganda due to their high fatality rates and potential for outbreaks. These diseases are caused by different families of viruses transmitted through contact with infected persons, animals, or contaminated materials.
Given Uganda’s periodic outbreaks, early recognition, prompt isolation, and effective infection prevention and control (IPC) measures are essential to limit spread and protect health workers and communities. The CPD session aimed to refresh staff knowledge and preparedness for detecting and managing suspected VHF cases. |
