Objectives
By the end of this session you will be able to:
• Describe the ethical basis of confidentiality
• Identify the relevant law and professional guidance when considering disclosure without consent
• Describe the General Medical Council (GMC) guidance on confidentiality with respect to the sharing and storage of verbal, written and electronic personal information, including the use of such information for research, teaching and audit purposes |
