In this session you will review the most common tumours arising supratentorially in children, excluding sellar, suprasellar and midline tumours.
Objectives
By the end of this session you will be able to:
• Identify the relevant supratentorial anatomy
• Compare epidemiology and varied clinical presentations of children with tumours in this region and to be able to use these to narrow the differential diagnosis
• Correctly select the most appropriate imaging choices, including computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance (MR) techniques
• Recognise the common CT and MR features of paediatric supratentorial brain tumours |
