| Details | The course has 25 modules.
1.1. Introduction to MAS: Past, present, future. Introduction to the laparoscopic tower.
2.2. Instrument design, function, and maintenance. Dry lab drills: pole pegging, cobra rope, pin placement, tube string.
3.3. Optics in MAS (Camera, telescope, light source and monitor), camera navigation techniques drills.
4.4. Ergonomics and task analysis in MAS.
5.5. Energy sources and dissection techniques in MAS. Dry lab drills- application of extracoporrheal knots on continuous structures, cystic pedicles, and free structures.
6.6. Wet lab: hands on demonstration of suturing and needle manipulation techniques.
7.7. The insuflator, pneumoperitoneum and the quadromanometic indicators.
8.8. Access techniques: principles of safe entry in MAS, hands on training on veress, and trocar handling.
9.9. Port positioning in MAS: the baseball diamond principle. Hands on practice on suturing, the extracoporrheal square knot, Weston knot placement for large defects. Butch suspension.
10.10. LAPAROSCOPIC ANOTOMY and diagnostic survey, male and female perspectives. Intracoporrheal suturing-surgeon’s knot.
11.11. Physiological changes and anesthezia in MAS. Tissue retrieval techniques, and port closure. Wet lab- intracoporrheal tumble square knot. Principles of diagnostic laparoscopy.
12.12. Wet/animal lab hands on- intracoporrrheal continuous suturing, Dundee jamming knot and Aberdeen termination.
13.13. Introduction to tissue approximation techniques and suturing.
14.14. Laparoscopy in difficult situations and complications of MAS.
15.15. ENDOMENTRIOSIS. Diagnosis and treatment.
16.16. Hysteroscopy practical skills.
17.17. Lectures for gynecologist: tubal ovarian disorders.
18.18. Video lecture for surgeons—appendectomy, cholecystectomy, etc.
19.19. Video lectures for gnecologists—myomectomy, hysterectomy, tips and tricks.
20.20 to 25. Didactic lectures, final exams. |
