Details	The group convenes weekly to discuss targeted interventions for the leading causes of maternal and perinatal mortality, sharing best practices in implementing Maternal Perinatal Death Surveillance and Response (MPDSR). The meeting offers technical input on emerging processes and issues in safe motherhood. Periodically, the session provides insights into quality improvement interventions, such as MPDSR, Comprehensive Emergency Obstetric-Newborn Care (EmONC), and Postnatal Care (PC). During this session, our focus was on reviewing progressive updates on the actions proposed during the review of reported maternal deaths, as a strategy to prevent similar cases. This was followed by presentations sharing best practices on interventions shaping Maternal and Newborn Health (MNH) services in Kiryandongo District, conducted on October 19, 2023. Additionally, there was a presentation on community health interventions to improve early Antenatal Care (ANC) Contacts, specifically a case study of Muko HC IV in Rubanda District, conducted on October 5, 2023. A knowledge-sharing session was held on the management of adverse blood transfusion reactions (by UBTS) on October 12, 2023. Furthermore, the weekly MPDSR reports provided an opportunity for the team to discuss mortality statistics from the previous weeks and key recommendations that require implementation and follow-up. The awarded Continuing Professional Development (CPD) sessions occurred on October 5th, 12th, and 19th, 2023.
