| Details | A CPD session on RED (Reaching Every District/Child) categorization under the Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI) was conducted at Bubare HCIII. The session aimed to strengthen the capacity of health workers in assessing immunization performance, identifying gaps, and implementing targeted strategies to improve coverage and equity in immunization services.
Participants were guided through the five RED components
• Re-establishing outreach services
• Identifying gaps and Supportive supervision,
• Community linkages
• Monitoring and use of data for action, and
• Planning and management of resources.
The categorization process was discussed, highlighting how facilities are classified (e.g., RED, Yellow, or Green) based on performance indicators such as Penta 3 coverage and dropout rates. Staff were encouraged to analyse recent EPI data from Bubare HCIII and identified priority actions to improve low-performing areas.
